Prosciutto Wrapped Stuffed Dates

Sweet, chewy dates are stuffed with a fresh, creamy basil and cheese mixture then wrapped in salty prosciutto in this easy appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 4 oz goat cheese at room temperature
  • 4 oz mascarpone cheese at room temperature
  • 1/4 c fresh basil leaves finely chopped
  • 16 Medjool dates pitted and halved
  • 16 slices of prosciutto halved lengthwise

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mix the goat cheese, mascarpone cheese, and basil together in a small bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Take one half of a date and place a small spoonful of the cheese mixture on the cut side. Then wrap a piece of prosciutto around the date. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Stuff and wrap remaining dates. Bake at 350° for 5-10 mins. Arrange the dates on a platter and serve.

Notes

Dates can be served hot or at room temperature. Uncooked dates can be stuffed and wrapped a day in advance. Heat just before serving. These stuffed dates are a great appetizer to serve at dinner parties or bring to a potluck.
